The following is an excerpt from the book:
"Play the game with the same level of intensity that you would approach any game you play in, but in this game your opponents are the number of other recruits who are competing for the limited roster spots and scholarship funds available at the schools athletic program.
While you cannot know or scout every opponent you will be facing you can study the game and become one of the best players in it.
Rule #4: “Show enthusiasm about the schools program when
you are speaking with the coaches, they want athletes
who are excited to be there”
Creating interest from college coaches doesn't just happen, It takes a great deal of hard work and a solid commitment on your part to gain, increase and maintain interest from college coaches. Getting coaches to notice you is just the start and unless you are on the "ALL AMERICAN" list there is no such thing as “being discovered” rather it takes a constant and open line of communication from you toward the coaches to make it easy for them to take another look at you and your abilities and what you can offer their program.
Creating your own web site through the College Bound Showcase is one of the easiest ways to “Get Noticed” by college coaches who are flooded with phone calls, and emails and even those who still use the outdated methods of mailing tapes and resumes to coaches."
